Mahany Welding Supply has partnered with Monroe Community College to offer a 360 hour job preparation program called "Welding and Fabrication Certificate". The first class of seven candidates graduated in August, and Class 2 has ten students working towards graduation in January 2010. This program consists of six college level courses covering topics including GMAW steel, aluminum, stainless, GTAW steel, aluminum, stainless, SMAW, Plasma Cutting, Oxy/Fuel, Blueprint Reading, Quality, and Weld Symbols. Students who successfully complete this program will be ready for entry level work as Welder/Fabricators.
