Mahany Unveils New Sculpture by Karen Pollitt
On April 6, 2005, Mahany Welding Supply unveiled the latest edition to its collection of metal sculpture created by local artists. The sculpture of three welders plying their craft, was created by Karen Pollitt who was assisted by fellow artist Jeremy Stipano. Both are graduates of RIT. The sculptures are all made from 1/8"" Cor-Ten plate. A variety of techniques were used to create the realistic colors, including copper thermal spray, cold patinas, and localized heat. |
